The project is run by the core team with the support of the HOLO community. ### # HOLOYIELD Accounts The HOLOCLEAR ecosystem offers a number of ways for holders to monetise their assets. One of the primary ways to earn is through an interest earning account accessed through the HOLOCLEAR dApp. This works exactly like a bank account where you deposit your tokens and will earn interest while your tokens remain in the account. This is a great strategy to earn passively in the long term and benefit from both the interest and token growth. The interest rates you earn will be adjusted dynamically in line with market forces and treasury size. This means you will be rewarded with higher interest payments when the treasury is larger, helping build a platform of stability and loyal holders that ensures the project's long term success.
## How does it work? The amount you earn will vary on a daily basis depending on the market conditions and will be supported by the treasury. At times of high sell pressure you may receive a higher return as the token will automatically reward and encourage holders. At times of high buy pressure yields may be lower as holders will be benefiting from token growth. This helps ensure sustainability and limit the inflationary elements of the interest. The dApp will show you the total amount you have deposited, the current interest rate and your weekly passive income. Note, there is a minimum stake amount of 100 HOLOYIELD. High level metrics will also be available so holders can see the total value staked across the project, the current APY (Annual Percentage Yield) and current index. This means not only will you be earning interest and benefitting from token growth but you also have a chance at winning a significant prize each week.
In the dApp you can clearly see the current available pool, which is raised through taxation, as well as when the next draw will be. Each draw will pick a wallet at random (utilising [Chainlink VRF](https://chain.link/vrf)) from all the interest account holders. Gilt rates and vesting period durations will dynamically adjust on a regular basis in response to market forces.
The Gilt price does not rely on any third party exchanges and directly funds the treasury, so they are best way to support the long term goals of HOLOCLEAR. This helps fund important things which help everyone. For a government this may be schools, hospitals or roads; however with HOLOCLEAR this is used for liquidity, marketing, growing the treasury, and building new functionality (to name a few). Importantly these taxes impact how people and markets behave. HOLOCLEAR uses a mathematical model to adjust the buy and sell taxes to ensure the overall growth of the project. One problem that projects find difficult is high price volatility. If lots of people sell this causes a panic and the price can dramatically drop. * **Import wallet:** This is for users who already have an existing MetaMask wallet on a different device and would like to import it over to a new one. * **Create a wallet:** This is for users who want to set up a brand new MetaMask wallet. Select the “Create a Wallet” option, agree to a short disclaimer that appears and create a password when prompted. As with any password, it’s vitally important you physically write several copies of the password down on different pieces of paper. You should [never create a digital copy](https://www.coindesk.com/learn/2021/04/20/4-ways-to-stay-safe-in-crypto/) of any password you create; this includes actions like taking a screenshot of it, sending it to yourself in an email or saving it as a note on your computer. Anything digital that’s stored on your computer is accessible to hackers – don’t make life easy for them. You will need to enter your password each time you wish to access your MetaMask wallet. #### Secret recovery phrase A screen will then appear that outlines what a secret recovery phrase is, how you should copy it down (again, on paper not in digital form) and information on why you should never share your secret recovery phrase with anyone. In short, your secret recovery phrase comprises 12 random words. It’s there as a backup in case you lose the phone or laptop where your MetaMask wallet is downloaded and need to import it to a new device.

You will need to carefully copy down each word in the order they are presented on the screen. The order of the words is crucial as you won’t be able to import your account to a new device if the words are in the wrong order – even if you entered all the right 12 words. MetaMask will then prompt you to type in the 12-word sequence before you can move on to the final steps. ### An overview of the MetaMask wallet Once you’ve completed the above steps, you’ll be able to access your new MetaMask wallet. There are two main components you’ll need to familiarize yourself with so that you can begin using the software: * **Identifying your public address:** This is the address you can freely share with people or platforms like exchanges in order to receive cryptocurrency into your wallet. # Adding $HOLO to my Wallet Please note the HOLOCLEAR dApp integrates with all major wallet providers. The example below is for Metamask, but other wallets will follow a similar process. **1. Copy Token Contract Address** The contract for $HOLO is **0x1337bae199225795070DCF4f7aea733296Ba77Ea** Please be careful and only copy the contract from official channels. #### 2. Select the Network Launch your MetaMask wallet. Select 'Binance Smart Chain' as the network. If it says Ethereum Mainnet or similar select Binance Smart Chain from the dropdown. #### 3. Click Import Tokens After selecting or adding the network, scroll down to the bottom. Interest is paid in a second token called HOLOYIELD, which can then be exchanged 1:1 for $HOLO. To earn interest you need to deposit your $HOLO into an account on the HOLOCLEAR dAPP. Choose the amount of $HOLO you would like to stake and earn interest 4. Click 'DEPOSIT TO $HOLOYIELD' * This then exchanges your $HOLO to $HOLOYIELD so you can begin earning interest 5. The total deposited will now appear in 'total deposited balance' * This will show you the total amount in your account, next interest payment and weekly return on investment * APY will adjust dynamically in line with market forces and treasury performance 6. **WITHDRAWING** Should you want to withdraw your deposited $HOLOYIELD you can do this at any time. To do this simply follow these steps: 1. Select 'WITHDRAW' 2. Choose amount of $HOLOYIELD to withdraw 3. Click 'WITHDRAW $HOLOYIELD' 4. There will then be a 24 hour 'cooldown' period (with subsequent withdrawals from the same wallet submitted within this period resetting the 24 hour cooldown for the total amount) 5. After this you can 'claim' your $HOLO (with interest) from the dapp 6. Once claimed the $HOLO will appear in your wallet # How to Mint Gilts Minting Gilts is the best way to support the HOLOCLEAR long term goals as it raises funds for the treasury whilst also securing you $HOLO at a discounted rate. Gilts are automatically deposited and earning interest immediately. In order to mint please follow these steps. 1. Connect your wallet 2. Ensure you have the desired amount of BNB in your wallet to mint $HOLO 3. Choose your desired gilt * In the example below 7, 30 and 90 day options are available * These options refer to the amount of time before your gilt 'matures' and you receive your HOLOYIELD * The longer the maturity period, the bigger the discount * You earn interest throughout the vesting period * You are also entered into the [HOLOPOOL](/holoclear/holopool-rewards) reward pool while vesting
